Two longtime Atlanta mahjong players who decided the world needed an easier way to get four to the table.
Steffi is the heart of BamBuddies, bringing the platform to life from the same tables that inspired it. A Mahjong instructor based in Atlanta, she organizes regular games across multiple friend groups — the kind of host who can turn any Tuesday night into a packed table. A mother of three and devoted wife, Steffi is a natural connector who believes the best moments in life happen face-to-face, ideally with snacks, laughter, and good company — and sees BamBuddies as a natural extension of what she’s done for years: bringing people together around a shared love of the game.
Rebecca is a longtime Atlantan and devoted Mahjong player whose love for the game shapes everything BamBuddies stands for. Now an empty nester, she’s settled into a new chapter — slower mornings, creative afternoons, and the meaningful connections only a packed table can deliver. You’ll find her gathered with friends over Mahjong or canasta, where the laughter matters as much as the score, or tending a sourdough starter she treats like an old friend. For Rebecca, BamBuddies is more than a product — it’s a way to make sure no one who loves the game ever has to play alone.
BamBuddies started because getting four players together for mahjong shouldn’t require six group texts and a spreadsheet. We built the social organizing app we wished existed.
Make organizing social games effortless so more people can play together, more often. Start with mahjong, expand to all the games you love.
Mahjong brings generations together. It’s social, strategic, and deeply connected to culture — and the community deserves better tools.
BamBuddies is the first app from Caribou Games, building social tools for traditional games — with more communities coming soon.

Create a game with the date, time and place, then invite your regular players by text or email. BamBuddies tracks RSVPs, fills open seats, and sends reminders so you always know whether you have a full table — no spreadsheets and no chasing people down.
